Does anyone know anything about his dude? He has some...unusual...bid activity that makes me think something is fishy. It could be totally on the level, though, so I was hoping for some thoughts.
Thanks!

I think the same thing. Stuff always gets bid up and its every auction they have. I asked him and he said he doesn't know why this happens.

My collection of bats,jersey's,ball's,etc.

I collect game used stuff of Pittsburgh Pirates,Penguins,Steelers and Michael Jordan cards....
I stopped bidding on his/her items because of this bidding activity. Too many bids from users with new accounts only bidding on his items and some with 30+ plus bid retractions. Too bad really because they have a few items I would have liked to own.

How can you find out who the bidders are and what their feedback is? eBay restricts that info now and I haven't seen it in years...
I put a bid in prior to going to bed, woke up to see I won the auction. Interesting thing is, another bidder placed 3 incrementally higher bids until they became the high bidder, then subsequently retracted the high bid so I won the auction at obviously my max amount.
This Bidder: 1) has a "0" rating, 2) has placed 85 bids, 3) 100% of the bids have been with this seller, 4) this bidder retracted 3 bids on this auction alone, 5) I saw this bidder's activity on at least one auctions from this seller.
Again, they bid me up until they were the high bidder, then retracted the high bid for max.
Weeeellllll, how 'bout that?!
I corresponded with the seller, made it very clear that I'm not THAT stupid. Long story short, the seller blamed such bidding activity on a "quirky" bat collecting community.
This is the exact practice I was referring to with my previous post. Stay Away from this seller regardless of how bad you want an item!! It took all I had in me not to bid/win the Addison Russell bat he listed but I refuse to give this crook any of my money! Lets all make him pay for it!!
Funny you bring up Batsplus2000, I just won a bat from this ebay seller for way cheaper then what I'm sure he was expecting to get for it and 10 minutes later I get this email: May 8th 2015
I went to my office today so I could ship it after you paid and can't find it. I apologize for the inconvenience. I will contact the cleaning company to see if they moved it, but my office isn't that big and don't see it anywhere. I thought I would notify you of this before you paid...

Dear batsplus2000,
Did you find the bat yet?? I just have a feeling that u were hoping the bat would bring more money and when it was only a $150 bat because of being a 2013 minor league bat with no authentication, you just canceled the order. I hope this isn't the case but I'm leaning in that direction. Not a classy move at all.

No, I put list them on ebay and sometimes bats sell for 99 cents... If there more value to the bats, I list them at a higher price that I am willing to sell them for.
I will archive your contact information and let you know if I find it. I don't expect to at this point and have no idea where it went.

He will receive a negative.
Thank you for sharing Scott. I'm willing to bet the bat in question here is the same Addison Russell bat that I reluctantly decided not to bid on due to the sellers shady bid history. I wonder how long before this bat surfaces back on eBay? This guy is scum.
You are correct sir. It was the Russell bat. I only wanted it because I wanted to get it signed in DC in a few weeks and no doubt the guy was pissed it only ended for $150. Ebay wont allow me to post negative feedback yet ( gotta be 7 + days) but he's a complete joke. Suck it up, take the loss on the bat, start the bat off at $250 or just put a damn reserve on it.
