Unfortunately, your question falls in a period where there could be holes in the records, as that is the period when H & B switched their records from hand-written bat cards to computer. As a result, for most players of the era, there is a gap (sometimes significant) during the transition period.
In Reggie Jackson's case, the last documented hand-written order is dated
4/4/1980, while the first computer order is dated 4/23/1982. So, what orders came from Reggie during that roughly 24-month period? There is nothing from H & B that indicates that any documented records from that period exist. Given that the period includes two years of your bat's labeling (4 1/2 inch "New Large Label"), anything is possible.
No documented orders during that label period match the specifications of your bat, even though Model J93 was a favorite of Reggie Jackson during much of his career, particularly between March 1971 and March, 1993. The majority of those orders specify Hickory Finish..
