1987-1992 Seattle Mariners batting helmet question

Hello everyone, my name is Sherman and I've been a long time lurker. I mainly collect Seattle memorabilia. I recently acquired this late 1980s - early 1990s Seattle Mariners batting helmet. I have attached some images below. This Mariners logo was used from about 1987 to 1992. I've only been able to find ABC game used helmets from the same era. This is a size 7 3/8 Rawlings helmet and it shows decent wear. However, it does not have or show evidence of ever having a player's number sticker on the back so maybe this helmet was briefly used during batting practice? I know that the some teams did use similar style Rawlings helmets for games during the late 1980s - early 1990s. So my question is does any one know if the Mariners used Rawlings batting helmets during this era? I appreciate any help.
