New to the board and general question about collecting GU bats

Hey all,

I'm new on this board and I attend minor league games pretty regularly, and I just wanted to ask some general questions.

How do you guys go about collecting game used broken bats at games?
What is the success rate when asking for a bat and when is the best time to ask?

I always ask at the end of the game ...Either the player or coaches depending on teams I guess ...I usually ask the away teams because a lot of the home teams are selling them now. Just my 2 cents.
