45 years ago today, Doc Ellis pitched a no-hitter vs. the Reds in which he claims he was high on LSD. Although some refute this claim, many respected writers believe it to be true. Amazing.

It was actually versus the Padres. As inept a lineup San Diego had that year, not a tough task, amazing none the less.

R.C., thanks for the correction. I was reading fast and made a mistake. Yea, amazing game, he was probably on window pane. Zeroed in on the strike zone and couldn't leave it.
