Help on these bats please
I searched the forum on how to tell if these are store model bats and I still don't have a clue. I'm assuming the are just store model but Any help on them would be awesome. thanks

Thanks...Just for my own knowledge how can you tell? is it the logo, the wood, missing something on the knob? We've been buying these just cause they're cool and for a couple bucks how can you go wrong but I wood like to educate myself a little better on bats. Thanks again.

The knob markings "NF5" and "MM5" denote 35 inch. store model bats of the named players (Nellie Fox and Mickey Mantle); also the names are foiled stamped on each, and not branded in. The Safe Hit bat would be short and is a childs bat.

Also, starting in 1943 through 1975, Louisville Slugger stamped the knob end with the bats model number. Then in 1976 the model number was moved to above the players name on the barrel to the right of Genuine.
Birdbats.com has a good section on identifying games. The Vince Malta Louisville Slugger book is a must have.
