Mutombo to be honored

The Atlanta Hawks will retire Dikembe Mutombo's #55 uniform on November 24. Mutombo will be the 4th Hawk to have his number retird, joining Dominique Wilkins, Lou Hudson and St. Louis Hawk Bob Pettit.

Dave, is this a joke or what? Mutombo played 5 rather undistinguished seasons with the Hawks. What about Lenny Wilkins and Cliff Hagan, or doesn't St. Louis count anymore?

It's not a joke. As far as the old St. Louis awks go, their era has one retored uniform, that of Bob Pettit.
