Russell authentic jersey question

I bought an expos russell jersey road grey, jock tag removed but I could tell it never had a neck tag and the stitching and logos are all legit team issue/authentic retail stuff. My question is the Russell logo on the right sleeve, it's solid blue and not blue and red. It's all stitched in, not the cheap russell bargain bin sew on job.....but I've never ever seen one solid blue for a Montreal jersey.....could it have been early prototype? The seller bought it retail years ago, said it had the diamond collection jock tag with white flap attached.

I love it cause its the early 90s version I can customize to their 94 year.
