Richard Bond - Anyone know about this guy??
I was looking through some LOA's and noticed one by Richard Bond. He supposedly served as Director of Acquisitions for Lelands. Articles of him suposedly published in the NY Daily News, NY Post, Newsday, Boston Globe, Tuff Stuff, and The Providend Journal.
When I do a google search on him I find nothing.
Anyone help me out on the forum ??????

I've never dealt with him personally or have owned anything authenticated by him, but he's supposed to be a respectable autograph expert and has a decent reputation in that field. He did ineed work for Leland's. Offhand if the LOA is for an autograph, the LOA is respectable

For what it's worth, below is a link to a reprint of a Collector's Universe/PSA arcticle concerning Bond.

Re: Richard Bond - Anyone know about this guy??
I met Richard once about 2 years ago. He purchased a 1998 McGwire game used bat from me and brought several bats of his own to show me. Seemed very knowlegable and extremely easy to deal with.
Thanks
Scott

Dan...you can trust him. I dealt with once & had a had a positive experience. Although unknown to him, he sold me the lineup card from Cal Ripken's 1000th consecutive game (he had an ad in SCD advertising a Frank Robinson signed lineup card from 1988...which it was!).
