    My first game used bat!

Hello, I picked up my first ever game used bat a few days ago. I'm excited it's a rare Aaron Hicks bat. I PC Hicks items. He used this bat at 2015 Spring Training. Louisville Slugger I-13 type. The neat thing about this bat is it natural color. Aaron mainly uses black bats. I wrote him up on Twitter and he got back to me about the bat. He wrote "yup spring training bat". I'm new to the whole game used bat thing. Can some help me out on some of the coding on the bat knob. I'm sure this will not be my last bat I get in my collection. Thanks, Eric-

Very nice. It's something when you own a piece from a major league game. It's still special. A piece of America.

Welcome to the hobby. I agree with Ken, it gets addictive and you will need to make room. I remember when I bought my first item and then joined this site. Now I have a room full of game used things.

My first was in 1998. It was the Diamondbacks' inaugural year and I was buying everything in sight and looking for more. I saw a Karim Garcia DBacks bat on eBay - up to that time I had no idea a person could even buy an actual, game-used bat. That was 1300+ bats ago, so yeah - I'd say "addictive" is a good word to describe it.

Congratulations on your first acquisition! Assuming you want to go in that direction, I hope you enjoy getting more of these great pieces of memorabilia in the future. If you do got that route, you have a great group of knowledgable people on this site with whom you can enjoy the process.

    Again, congratulations!

While the comment about the MLB used vs Spring Training makes sense, I think it's prob cooler that its not his normal bat style. Bats are addictive, I started buying some as cool groomsmen gifts (we were all from Montreal so I bought a Henry Rodriguez, Ivan Calderon, Grissom, and a Rondell White for myself). It struck me how cool it was to own a piece of MLB history for so little. Now it's grown into almost all the Expos legends I grew up watching. Start making homemade rack displays my friend.
