    Silver Slugger commemorative bat

    Hello everyone

I'm new in the game used collecting hobby. I bought a lot at Classic Auctions that included this baseball bat. Here's the auction house description:
"Louisville Slugger bat, which commemorates the 1984 Silver Slugger winners. The bat shows its age as the finish has started to dry and chip away, but the text is still visible with most of the gold stamping still visible. It reads, in part: "1984 Offensive Teams - Silver Slugger Awards" and lists, by position, players from both the AL and NL at each position and the DH/P. Gary Carter is the NL Catcher and the only Expo recognized on the bat. The bat also displays an inscription: "Made especially for Harvey Goldberg", however some of this text is partially illegible."

Does this bat have any value? Was it made for only one person?
    Thanks for your help

    Re: Silver Slugger commemorative bat

I'm guessing value up to $50 primarily based on the condition....But if you can do a little homework & find out who Harvey Goldberg was and what his connection to the bat was, it may add a little more value.

    Neat item nonetheless....
