    Mike Trout bat models question?

I noticed a lot of the Trout Old Hickory game used bats have an asterisk * at the end of them? Some don't? What's it mean? Thanks experts. Here's a few photos.

Re: Mike Trout bat models question?

After 2012 season, he had his own model made, the MT27, designed off the J143 model used in 2011 and 2012 rookie season.
The team ordered and owned bats are the MT27 without the asterisk. They are 99% used in Spring Training and BP. The Angels can then use them as they choose, like to sell at the kiosk, use for charity auction functions, etc.
The MT27* bats are all purchased directly by Mike, used in season, and the team does not have access to those.

So would this imply that all MT27 Trout Old Hickory bats without the * are not game used but ST and BP bats Ben?

99.9%, yes. Either this year or last year, he carried the last ST used bat (MT27, not a MT27*) into the first couple bats of the opening game, so a very minor exception. The Angels did not get that bat, however.
