Need HELP identifying old leather football helmet

A friend has asked me to assist him with identifying the age of the helmet below. The helmet came from a lot of old Indiana University game used items. Does anyone have any insight to how old it is, which type of player would have worn it, etc? I cannot locate any manufacturer information on the helmet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
