2015 postseason game used items being used in 2016 spring training

Here is a picture I found interesting. Royals catcher Drew Butera is using his postseason tagged catchers helmet during spring training games. I have never seen this before and really never thought about it before either. Players using postseason equipment in the next seasons spring training games. Has anyone else seen this? It could provide opportunities for some of that postseason equipment to still show up for sale.
