Robinson Cano question about bat use

On legit cano gamers which side is all the ball use? I've seen so many with spots on the side where a righty would hit (above the label) that I'm beginning to think cano spins his bat around alot or the market is flooded with fakes...I'm thinking the latter?

It is not uncommon to see his bats with use all over the barrel. He doesn't seem to have much consistency when it comes to label up or label down hitting.

Agreed, a lot of his bats are just loaded with use all over.

Just check out the Cano thread by Yankees506. I'm sure he'll weigh in. He's the Cano specialist.

Re: Robinson Cano question about bat use

We have a lot of knowledgeable Cano collectors on here but since i have nearly 40 of his bats i can say i have bats with both label down and label up use. These bats are signed and inscribed game used so cano really has no preference, almost like he just grabs a bat and swings away. However if you have a specific question on a single bat please post pictures as there are many "bad" Robby bats out there. The taping, mota/ tar application and markings on the barrel (as Cano has a habbit of knocking the dirt from his cleats using the front of his cleats that leave distinct elongated markings from the rubber tips of his cleats). His recent bats id say 2010-current usually have tape, some to a lot of tar/ mota near the centerbrand. However not every bat may posess these characteristics as ive seen signed and inscribed bats from 2014 with no tape or tar. I hope this helped, from day one his bats have always been consistantly inconsistent if that makes sense. -Carmelo

Correct, not a label up or label down specific hitter in any way. In fact, if a bat only had ball marks on one side, likely due to very light use or not used by Cano.
