    Reshaping/repairing old GU caps

I bought some older GU caps at an auction and the panels are pretty badly misshaped. Does anybody have advice for getting the original shape back while keeping its integrity?

Also, I have a Phillies cap worn in the 2008 WS that has about a one-inch hole in it. Any suggestions on repairing the hole or at least making it look better?

    Thanks,
    Mark

If they are game used I would leave them as they are.

I was able to reshape a bill by tying it with a soft cloth to another hat that had a good curve and left it like that for a week. Worked well.

I would think you could do the same for the side panels.

No idea about the hole though. Would probably just leave that as is.

I would leave the hole in the Phillies cap as is. As far as reshaping the panels, you might try getting the panels wet and then stuffing the cap with towels to the shape you want to achieve. When the cap drys, it should hold the shape.
