Bucky Dent bat on eBay - not a Yankees bat

He is claiming it is a Dent bat used with the Yankees, though it has Dent's White Sox number 30 on the knob. It just sold thru Mears very recently:

Mears listed and sold it as a White Sox '77 Spring Training bat here in April, but I am sure he knows that and left out the nagging details of that letter.

I'm curious how mears determined it to be a white sox bat because he did wear the same number as a yankee???

But with that said, you should always beware of this seller. I have made posts about him in the past, he is a fraud. Look at his 125 hillerich & bradsby Gehrig and Cobb bats, he lists them as "Bin Bats". There is no such thing as bin bats. They're 100% store model bats because they have inch marks.

His descriptions are very vague and missing info. Like this other Lou Gehrig "bin bat," he makes no mention or shows pictures of the inch marks stamped into the knob.

I have also heard from other collectors that he uses an engraver and measures with bats and also adds use.
