Big Papi to be honored in 2017.
The Red Sox have announced that, on an as-yet undetermined date early in the 2017 season, they will be holding a uniform retirement ceremony for David Ortiz and his #34 uni.

That's great news. If I'm lucky maybe his memorabilia distributor will sell me one of the bases from his number retirement game for $4000.

Thats awesome. The ebay jersey scalpers will be certain to raise their ortiz jersey prices to 10k in order to celebrate this great occasion.
