Removing a signature on a pinstriped jersey

I know this question has been asked a thousand times. My question is a little different though. If you remove a signature that's on a pinstriped jersey can the remover fade or remove the actual pinstripe the signature is over? Or are those stripes permanently dyed in?

If you don't find the answer do what I did. Used a common jersey in your case a pinstriped jersey, sign it and let it sit for a day or so. Then start experimenting with the different methods of removing the sig. You should have your answer pretty quickly.

Unfortunately I don't have one to waste with pinstripes. Was hoping someone would have some insight on the pinstripes on 90s bball
