Wilson jersey tagging help.
Has anyone ever seen this tag on a Wilson Football jersey ?
If so, any feedback on what it indicates ?

Re: Wilson jersey tagging help.
I think it is used to identify certain salesman's samples. I've seen them on a few baseball items over the years. Obviously, at a size 38 this Payton is not a gamer.

Re: Wilson jersey tagging help.
Thanks Dave,
Regarding Payton's jersey sizing:
Yes size 42 is what he was known to wear.
But is it possible there were a few size 40's on hand in case he wanted a smaller size ?
Not saying he'd wear these, but is it possible a size 40, would be game issued ?
I have a size 40 Wilson Payton jersey with no "GSH" on the sleeve. This was before they were available for retail.
So, my main question is, Would a size 40 Payton jersey with no "GSH" on the sleeve qualify as an item that came from the team, since it is obviously not retail ?
Thanks !

Re: Wilson jersey tagging help.
I never saw a size 40 Payton before that I trusted, and being from the 1970s/early 1980s doesn't make it immune from being fake and/or doctored. Back in the 1990s I rejected a Payton that had a 1977 year tag added to it by someone who thought a year tag would help legitimatize it, even though I've never seen a Payton era Bears gamer of anyone with a year tag in it.
