1973 Nolan Ryan Game Used Jersey - Grey Flannel Auctions

Is this the same jersey that was sold at Mears as a salesman sample?

The Hobby's premier auction site for game-worn jerseys, graded cards, championship rings, and Hall of Fame autographs.

Here's the one that sold at Mears:

It could well be. It looks like someone added a sleeve patch and a front number after MEARS sold it. From the photos, it appears that the red in the front number doesn't even match the red in the team nickname. It looks problematic.

Halo on the A in Angels are two different styles and the letter is in different locations.

If it was altered it should show up on close examination on the letter A area for stitching holes I would think.

Troy/Mears also mentions in the description that the "Ryan 30" is inconsistent with jerseys on file.

Dave, you have access to that info?

You're correct, Halo is different. Now just need more info on the "Ryan 30" that's embroidered on the front. Grey Flannel mentions that it was added by a collector for display-ability.

The Angels already HAD front numbers on their 1973 gamers...no need for a collector to add one. Sounds fishy to me.
