Wouldn't it be nice to have all of the old LS records digitized and published somewhere? That way we could all stop bugging the powers that be to look up bat order records for this player and that player...

That's a good idea. When I get a spare moment may try to harvest all the info on the site and consolidate it.

It's still not available widespread, but Mike on here is very responsive and John Taube is always helpful too

So how do we get this to be widespread so we can stop bugging John and Mike?

Agreed. I would love to just be able to do the research myself without being a PITA to someone.

Another local collector and I each have a certain LS, both from the same batch, with of course a date stamped on the knob, the team name on the barrel, and an indecipherable stamped signature. I have literally gone through every minor league Diamondbacks affiliate roster and looked online for examples of every player's signature, and keep coming up empty. It would be wonderful to be able to search for all DBacks bats made on that date and be able to come up with whose bat it is.

That's probably an excellent guess, Brian. I can't seem to find an example of Tyler's auto online anywhere, but you have probably solved the mystery for us. Thank you!

    Okay, this is just weird.

The day after BMH offered his best guess about the Mystery Bat, this appeared on eBay...

...with a Diamondbacks "BAKER" knob sticker.
