I'd figure the home plate gate, albeit well before the gates open, as a lot of early arrivals from the visiting team enter there. You could try bringing the bat inside and hanging a few rows over the dugout during BP, but I'm not sure that would work, as I am not sure if Sox policies allow bats to be brought into the ballpark.
