Re: Stanton to Yankees
I'm glad that I no longer watch ESPN. I have a feeling that their 2018 MLB coverage will be 90% Yankees, and that 90% of that will be Stanton and Judge. Enjoying MLB coverage (at least for me) is not uncontrollable overkill of one team.

Not by his own doing. I think he's been hit by pitch twice that forced him out for several games.Comment

I'm glad Jeter is still a Yankee at heart. Sounds like the Marlins got pretty much garbage in return as well.Comment

Re: Stanton to Yankees
2012 46 (36) R knee loose bodies, abdominal strain
2013 50 (44) R hamstring strain, L shoulder soreness
2014 17 (17) HBP facial fracture
2015 ?? L hand fracture-due to check swing
2016 groin injury(23)
Ironically, the only time he was out by getting hit by pitch is the season he played in the 3rd most games of his career(145 in 2014).
Yeah, Stanton put it together in 2017! But, based on history, he is fragile for any player size, especially one that is owed $265M by the Yankees..Comment

Re: Stanton to Yankees
Prior to Stanton, the last 3 big name players the Cardinals finished 2nd on were Albert Pujols, Jason Heyward and David Price.
I'm sorry Yankees fans, it's baseball's version of the Madden curse.Comment

Re: Stanton to Yankees
Not sure that is the case with Stanton, more likely the Dodgers finished second and Giants and Cards were 3rd and 4th
I actually think that Ohtani will be the most interesting situation to follow this coming year though...plus, I love that Jerry DiPoto the farm system destroyer lost out on him at the end.Comment

In any event, it's all in good fun. Hope he does well in NY, at least he's not a CubComment

Re: Stanton to Yankees
Did LA make an offer? I wasn't sure if they had or not. Seeing as how neither the Cards nor Giants were on his list of 4 teams I guess technically there kind of was no 2nd place if none of the other 3 teams he'd waive his NTC actually made an offer.
