Storing Bats in Gun Safe

Anyone store their game used bats in fireproof gun safes? Wondering what the results have been and how often you leave the safe open or use a dehumidifier?

My father stored my bats in his fireproof gun safe while I was overseas for nearly 10 years, I don't he ever opened it or dehumidified it other than when he was getting something else out/putting something in, I recently picked them up from him and the bats looked as good as the day we put them in....
