only 6 all star selections in 22 years and never voted as a starter
never hit 30 hr in a season

Even Baines himself was surprised! Long time ago when he was at 2300 hits many thought he'd hit the magic 3,000 which would at that time would ensure enshrinement. I even picked up one of his gamers but when he retire with 2800 hits sold it thinking he'll never make it in.
