The crazy thing is that exact jersey was sold by Sotheby’s in 2006 for around 1500-1600$ with a MEARS certification. If they had done their homework and had tried to photomatch it back then it might have gone for way more although who knows how many collectors routinely check Sotheby’s (and other non sport related auction houses) for game worn jerseys.
There was a 1994 home Rice that was sold by another auction house (Juliens) that does not specialize in sports a number of years ago for around 1500$! The winner of that auction got a great deal!Comment
