    BALTIMORE COLTS DURENE JERSEY
#35-Pre-nameplate era - Blue long-sleeve durene jersey. MacGregor from the late 1960s based on the font style of the numbers and the remnants of the MacGregor tag in the tail. Jersey most likely worn in the 1968 preseason by Jim Duncan who was drafted in 1968 but did not play in the regular season until 1969. No signs of the NFL 50th Anniversary patch worn in 1969 or a nameplate that was added in 1970. Obtained from Hunt Auctions that also dated the jersey as late-1960s - $950

    CLEVELAND BROWNS DURENE JERSEYS
#30-Cleo Miller (Arkansas Pine Bluff) - White durene jersey. Sand Knit circa late-1970s. Jersey originally had long sleeves that were cut but not hemmed. All of the stripes remain. Sewn-on numbers and lettering. No tags remain. Fusco Auctions Letter of Authenticity - $450

#87-J.J. Birden (Oregon) white durene - MacGregor Sand Knit size 44 with “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Cleveland Browns” tagging. Birden was drafted by the Browns in 1988, but never played in a regular season game in 1988 (injured) or 1989. No obvious signs of game use. Sharp-looking durene jersey - $250

    DETROIT LIONS DURENE JERSEYS
#85-Pre-namepate era - Blue long-sleeve durene jersey with silver numbers. Rawlings jersey size 48 with crotchpiece fully intact. Rawlings tag, Lippman’s Detroit tag, and washing instructions tag on the inside of the crotchpiece. Smaller numbers style with no sleeve stripes worn by the Lions in the 1950s. Jersey most likely worn by Gene Cronin from the University of the Pacific - $1,750

#79-Ray Parson (University of Minnesota) - White long-sleeve durene jersey with blue numbers and sleeve stripes. Sand Knit size 50 with Griswold Sand Knit tag and Sand Knit size tag in the tail - $550

#23-Paul Gipson (University of Houston) - White short-sleeve durene jersey with blue numbers and sleeve stripes. Wilson size 46 from 1971. Wilson size tag in the tail. Black arm band on the left sleeve worn in memory of Chuck Hughes who died of a heart attack during a game on October 24, 1971 - $650

#40-Doug Wyatt (Tulsa) - Blue short-sleeve durene jersey with silver numbers and sleeve stripes trimmed in white. Sand Knit size 46 from the early 1970s. Sand Knit Exclusive tagging and Sand Knit size tag in the tail - $550

    KANSAS CITY CHIEFS DURENE JERSEY
#24-J.C. Pearson (University of Washington) - Red short-sleeve knit. Russell size 44 from the mid-1980s. Separate hand-warmer pockets (one for each hand) which was the way Russell did a lot of their hand-warmers in that era. Screened-on numbers. Lettering sewn-on to nameplate. Numbers show cracking - $350

    LOS ANGELES RAMS DURENE JERSEYS
#34-Pre-nameplate era - White durene short-sleeve jersey that originally had long sleeves that were cut and hemmed. Style the Rams wore in 1962 and ’63. Blue numbers with a gold shoulder insert trimmed in blue. Crotchpiece has been cut out, so no tags remain. Glenn Shaw from Kentucky wore #34 during the regular season in 1962, and no one wore #34 in the 1963 regular season. This jersey is hammered with use and repairs with the numbers coming loose in places. Shaw only played in 3 regular season games, so my belief is that most of the use probably came from re-using it in practice. MEARS Letter of Authenticity - $450

    MINNESOTA VIKINGS DURENE JERSEY
#45-Pete Athas (Tennessee) - White short-sleeve durene jersey. Sand Knit size 44 with Kokesh Sand Knit tag and Sand Knit size tag in the tail. Purple/gold/purple shoulder inserts. Numbers are screened on with front numbers showing scuffed areas. Letters are sewn-on to the nameplate. There is also an outline of a previous nameplate. Athas played only 5 games with the Vikings in 1975. The bottom Sand Knit size tag dates from the early 1970s, so this jersey was possibly worn by Ed Sharockman from Pitt who played with the Vikings from 1961 through 1972.
