Don't expect to see Johnny Bench at the upcoming Baseball HOF induction ceremonies. Despite being fully vaccinated, Bench has tested positive for COVID19, and as a result had chosen not to attend.

    Some good news:

The Canadian Government has given approval for the Toronto Raptors to resume playing their home games in Scotiabank Arena this upcoming season/preseason. There is no announcement as of yet regarding any crowd capacity maximums for games, but it HAS been announced that fans will have to show proof of vaccination to be admitted to games.

The Buffalo Bills have switched gears and have now joined the Las Vegas Raiders in requiring fans to show proof of COVID19 vaccination in order to be admitted to all remaining 2021 home games. The stricter policy comes after a torrent of complaints from fans at their home opener. In a setting in which wearing masks was the main means of health control, thousands of fans were not wearing face masks in outdoor or indoor areas of the stadium.

The vaccine proof rules will now also be applicable for Buffalo Sabres home games this coming season.

With California's recall election now history, Los Angeles County has announced new COVID19 protocols.

Effective 10/7, fans attending any outdoor events of 10,000 people or more will be required to prove being vaccinated or show proof of testing negative within less than 72 hours of the starting time in order to be admitted. This will apply to any Dodgers postseason games, as well as Rams and Chargers NFL games.

For now, Angels games are not included, as Anaheim is located in Orange County.

MLB has announced that, for the 2021 playoffs, all team employees (players exempted) will need to be fully vaccinated for COVID19. This includes managers and coaches in uniform, and ALL non-uniformed personnel. Exceptions will be made for non-players only if the employee has received one dose of the vaccine before the playoffs begin and their second dose is already scheduled.
