Some fans were surprised to see the Tampa Bay Rays wearing caps in Game 1 of the ALCS. As it happens, the Rays were just continuing a tradition that they've had since 2018. During their 20th Anniversary season, Tampa Bay decided to wear a cap for Sunday home games that used the cap logo from 1998-2000, the first 3 years of the team's existence.
