    What would be the value...

Of a 1915-1920 33 inch Joe Jackson HB two tone decal bat with the surface in EX-Mt condition and the decal 85% intact?

    Brian,
If the face is strong on the decal, probably 2,500 or so.
    Can you post some pictures?

As long as the the 15% missing isn't the middle of his face, it's a $4,500-$5,000 bat in a major auction.

I don't have it yet, but I will soon. From what I understand the face does have some wear, and the "Slugger" are has wear. How much wear I am not sure. I paid $2300 for it. I just wanted to see if I got ripped off or not.

I think two different bats are being talked about here. There is a Joe Jackson two-tone black betsy replica with decal on the fat of the bat and then there is a H & B decal series with players faces...wagner, jackson, collins, speaker, etc. What is the decal on this bat you're talking about???

    Brian,
You didnt get ripped off. Joe Jackson bats are pretty scarce and desirable. The fact that there is wear to the face is going to affect the value, but the bat looks to be excellent condition and the decal for the most part remains vibrant. Nice pick up!

Well, once I get the bat (I still have to pay for it) I will have to sell as I simply can't afford it. Anyways, lookout for it soon.

Brian, We (I) hope people want straight feedback when they post here, so I'm offering you my opinion. You did fine on the purchase, but that is going to be a tough to flip for a profit. Good luck though. Are you going to post it on ebay?

I understand. I am not trying to flip a profit. Minimally I just want to make my money back as it was an auction I was not intending to win. Just a stupid mistake based on mis-judgement and desire. I just bought a Joe Sewell side-written bat from Leftfield Collectibles, but now I am going to have to make use of their 7 day return policy to make space on my credit card to pay for this bat. I have a lot of work ahead of me.
