Orioles Tagging In 1996??????

Check this Russell tag(????) on an O's 1996 alternate currently for sale by Ed Dolan

I've sold pleanty of O's jerseys from this time period, however, never seen this tag in an O's. or for that matter, any russell jersey.

Thoughts?

The tagging looks suspect but the more important thing is that (and it's been pointed out more than once on this forum) that the Orioles NEVER wore the black alternates with the orange piping. They were made, but were veto'd by Peter Angelos and never saw game use anyway.
