I always thought that particular labeling didn't begin until 1958. Would be interesting to see if anyone has a world series issued 1957 bat to see what the labeling was like on those bats.

I agree. The labeling is from the 58-60 Adirondack period. Unless Adirondack introduced the new labeling period towards the end of the season as they did during the 86 season. Some 86 Adirondacks that were produced towards the end of the season had the 87 labeling including the 86 WS bats.
