Re: getty images? purchase
I'm interested in this as well, and im sure many other people on this forum are too. Some good business could be made for anyone who has the hookup.

Re: getty images? purchase
I am pretty sure you need to find the image off Getty then contact them to see if it's available for purchase..seems alot of what is on Getty can't be purchased for personal use...what most of us on this board would fall under...
Wire image would be another site for photos....Let me know if you get any help from Getty

Re: getty images? purchase
AP images lets you purchase 8x10s for about $20, if you can get a picture from them.

Re: getty images? purchase
Correct. Even if the picture you are looking for is not on AP's website you can submit a request for a certain photo. You have to submit the name of the photographer that took the pic, date, and a brief description.
I needed a Devin Hester print for a signing and I found a 150X150 of the photo I was looking for on google. I found the photographers name and the date of the image and submitted it to AP. They had a 16x20 print in the mail for me within a week. And as stated above, it was around $20.
They are much better to work with as far as cost is concerned.

Re: getty images? purchase
Just so people are clear, we have looked into this further and Getty Images does own the copyrights on all their images. If you want to purchase something from them, we suggest you contact them and do it in a manner consistent with their policies.
