G Brett bat need help before buying

I have a guy down the street that want to sell me his GU bats and he has a George Brett bat unused. It a R43 with a blank knob. Was this a game issued bat or a store bat

I don't know about the Brett, but I'd be interested in the Frank White if do purchase them.

Here's the deal on Brett R43 models:

He ordered R43 bats in 1971 (5 bats / 34"),1972 (6 bats / 34.5"), and 1973 (3 bats, 34.5") That's it. Numerous promo R43 Brett signature bats went to Baseball Miscellaneous and also to Hoyt Wilhelm throughout the 1980s. These would properly be termed promotional bats, and not bats intended for professional game use.

Post the length of the bat and I may be able to give you a bit more information.
