Wanted: 1999 Jose Lima and Mike Hampton Astros Jerseys

Hello All,

I am looking for a game used/worn jersey from each of the former Astros pitchers Jose Lima and Mike Hampton. Jerseys MUST be from the 1999 season. Home, Road, or Alternate. Please let me know if you can help or know where I might be able to find one of these jerseys. Thanks.

The Astros still have the majority of the 1999 jerseys in storage. The 1998s were the last ones to go in bulk sale. I have a 1999 Scott Elarton and 1999 Biggio and Bagwell. The Biggio and Bagwell are both Victory jerseys, as both players ordered their own home and road shirts from 1994 to 1999 and did not wear the team issued Russel jerseys. The only Russell jerseys Biggio and Bagwell wore in the 1990s were the Black/Navy Alternate Sunday/Holidya style.

I will keep my eyes open for a Hampton or Lima.

If this is fact, would this mean the Bagwell’s and Biggio’s included in the Hartel Sports bulk purchase of the ‘94 & '95 Astros jerseys (which included Homes and Roads) were not worn by the two respective players?

I believe the Home and roads were worn in 1994, but slowly transitioned out in late 1994 and into 1995. I am not sure if Hartel got the 1995s. If you take a look at Getty Images, there are some photos were you can there are no Russell emblems on either sleeve.

Hello! I did find a pic of Bagwell with a 1994 Russell. However, after 1994, the Russell emblem drops from Biggio and Bagwell jerseys. Here are some pics:











I can post photos of my Biggio and Bagwell later. Just FYI, Bagwell and Biggio also used Victory pants. I have never seen a pair of 1995 to 1999 Bagwell or Biggio Russell pants, but they may exist.

As far as Biggio or Bagwell jerseys, no Victory jersey was ever sold in a bulk deal according to Floyd Hartel or Ball 4 (Lampson, etc.). I got my two from a dealer in Canada that traded some Hockey items with an Astros employee in 1999.
