H&b 1917-21 Roberts
I have a H&B Co 125 Louisville Slugger dash dot dash 1917-21 label bat with the name ROBERTS impressed on the barrell. It's 36 inches and 40 ounces and has a Hornsby type knob. It also has lathe marks on both ends. Are there are any H&B records for this time period? Does anyone know who ROBERTS was? I can't find a major leaguer from that time period but I am aware of Negro Leaguers named Harry Raggs Roberts and Leroy Roberts. Did H&B make these bats for non major leaguers? I would greatly appreciate any information. Thanks. Ron

There was a Ray Roberts who pitched for the Philadelphia Athletics in 1919? It could be him.

Re: H&b 1917-21 Roberts
Thanks for the info Tim. I just checked Roberts bio. He got one hit in his career. Maybe my bat is that one hit wonder. It would be great if H&B had a record for this bat. Thanks again. Ron
