In the distinctive labeling year 1976, Geronimo requested that a new model be fashioned for him. Until that time, he had primarily used models G195, U1, D143 and a few others since June, 1967.

On 4/26/76 H & B made a bat with a G105 handle and a R161 barrel at Geronimo's request, and the bat was assigned model number G152. From that point on, the G152 became Geronimo's primary model of choice to the end of his career.

In 1976, six orders of G152 were sent to him with dimensions of 34 1/2 in/ 32 and 32 1/2 oz, totaling approximately 90 bats. Two orders were shipped with dimensions of 34 in / 32 1/2 oz totaling 24 bats. All were Flame Treated finish.
