*Cal Ripken Jr. GAME USED 3000th Hit GAME BALL*

I wanted to share an item I recently added to my collection. A few months ago, Cal Ripken Jr. was going through some items during a room renovation and found a box with his personal memorabilia from his 3000th hit game a little over 7 years ago in Minneapolis (his uniform, helmet, etc.). Included among this memorabilia was a few game used balls from this contest. Knowing that I traveled to Minnesota that weekend on the CHANCE that he may get that historic hit, he inscribed this special ball "To Bill, Thanks for being there for #3000..." Among the inscription was his writing "3000 Hit Game" & "Game Used" (which is VERY RARE for him to write under ANY circumstance).

My understanding is that the last ball he'll make available from this small lot was consigned to Morphy's (formerly Geppi's Road Show) Auction next month.
