Seller should know what they're selling - do your homework!

It amazes me how many people sell things and don't even know much about what they are selling. Especially sellers as ESM. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

I laughed at this one. First, G/U ticket? How does a player use a ticket in a game? Second, Alex Rodriguez G/U Ticket ALCS Game 3? Arod didn't play in Game 3. He only played in Game 5 on 8 October 1995.

    I don't get it..?

I'm reading the auction, looking at the title and ESM lists it simply as a Arod signed ticket, the description goes on to mention in more detail about item in the title. I guess I'm not seeing where ESM has labeled this item as a GU ticket.

If you mean the LOA/COA.. look closer, it's issued by AROD and his company, not ESM. I don't think Arod.com has any association with ESM, or does it? ESM is simply including what they got with the item. Maybe Arod should do HIS homework before issuing a LOA/COA.

Like so many of us do. We have so much in our collection, we then see something else we want, so we sell to get the item we're interested in. I come across an arod item I wan bad, so I'm willing to let this bat go.

After my post, I received the follow email from ESM: Our Mistake. We are very busy and currently understaffed and sometimes these things happen. They you for pointing it out. We will take care of it. Also, thank you for your post on Game Used Forum

Since then, they haven't even corrected the auction, after I pointed out the error and they acknowledged it. I even got a sarcastic remark at the end for posting it on GUU. As I responded to ESM, this is what GUU for.

So ESM produces the COA's for Arod.com and items that originate from there without disclosing that info?

It has been 6 days since ESM emailed me and said they would correct their auction.

When are people in this hobby going to do the right thing and sell what is real and appropriate? I'm so sick of people wording their auctions, or not wording them accurately, to deceive potential bidders/buyers. I'm sick of people selling things that they don't even know the correct information and/or history of their items. I'm sick of sellers using pictures in their auctions of an item, that isn't the actual item you will receive!

When is this ever going to end? I'm sick of it!

    Tony
