It is worthless or it is priceless.

    Depends who you ask.

    Let's see.

To about 99% of the human living world, your Larry Berra bat has no value. They just don't care about a bat or who may have used it.

Now, less than 1% of the human living world even knows who Larry Berra is, so to them the item may be priceless, but even to some of them then it is worthless.

Value is an opinion, worthless/priceless doubly-so.

    Joel-
I think you might have had a little too much of the recycled casino air. Are you getting philosophical on us? LOL

    Hello Yanks-

I'm not sure if everyone realized your are referring to Yogi Berra. An early signature version of "Larry Berra" bats exist and was later changed to "Yogi Berra" in 1953.

As for the value, that will depend on a number of factors including use characteristics, etc. However, in general, our database shows early label Berra bats have tended to sell for around the following (assuming it is an "average" bat without any special attributes):

    1943-49 - $9,000
    1950-60 - $7,500

However, those are general prices and can obviously vary. For example, a 1950-60 bat with a Berra LOA sold in MastroNet in 2004 for $11,364 with the premium. For more information about factors that can affect bat values, I would suggest reading our online price guide introduction. It can be accessed through the following link:

    I hope that helps.
