Let's See Some Baseballs!
Show off your favorite Baseball. This is a Goldsmith Baseball signed by the 1937 Clinton Owls of the Three "I" League.
This is the original Goldsmith box.

Re: Let's See Some Baseballs!
Great topic. Here is my favorite. I am 90% sure the player on the top is Little Poison Waner. I have never seen another like it. I found it four years ago at an antique show.

I like this ball because of the names of the teams written on it. D&M game used trophy baseball.
Dated July 1921 from "Alva Orphans" (Northwest Oklahoma League) vs. "Sweetwater Swatters" (West Texas League).

Nice ball Brett. Do you happen to know when it was manufactured?

Re: Let's See Some Baseballs!
i'm not positive but i'd guess late 20's/early 30's - that was the same era as the glove that i got with it. the lady also had the uniform of the player who used the mitt and ball but i had already spent my money (only 20 bucks for the ball which I think was a great deal).

Re: Let's See Some Baseballs!
$20 is a steal for any multicolor stitched ball...especially one in as good as condition as yours plus you got the original box. I just picked up a Pioneer League ball that was also made by Worth that I think is probably 1930's. Anyone know how late multicolor stitch balls were being used in professional baseball? I know that I can definitely say that the Three I League was using a black and red stitch Goldsmith ball as late as 1938.
