      K55 would be a pro model Mantle knob stamp. Pro model bats are always branded never foil stamped. They never have bat length on the knob either i.e. 5 or 4

        As noted by Mike in the above post, the easiest ID of a retail, or store model, H & B bat is by the placement of some type of inch designator on the knob. In this case, the designation which defines it as a store bat could be either the numeral 5 , the numeral 35 , or a stamping such as MM5.
        The rare exception to this H & B " rule" is found in some documented professional bats manufactured in the 1930's, which have an inch designation on the knob (1.e. 35"), block lettering (mostly) , and were never offered to the public retail trade...
