My new Posada bat!
Straight from the May 28th Yanks/Jays game in Toronto........enjoy!
Crack about 6 inches long by 1 inch wide, through the pine tar
Nice pic of the pine tar. Still very sticky and full of debris.
Full pic of the bat, fresh off the UPS truck!
Model P320
Knob - no uniform number but pencil marked 32.2 (ounces)
Posada's typical grip tape application
Close up of some of the rack marks.
It seems that the bat took a hit near the pine tarred area, causing the crack. I'm trying to locate pics and video to photo match it.

Re: My new Posada bat!
I forgot to add that the bat as some really nice bone rubbing along the handle. You can easily feel the extra work he put into it!

Re: My new Posada bat!
I bought the bat from an individual in Thornhill, Ontario but it was a private seller who got it from Posada at the game...not Freedmansports.
They shipped it Saturday and I got it today.

Re: My new Posada bat!
It has to be the same guy.In this description from my bat it mentions the Posada.Weird that he would give out 2 bats the same game with hairline cracks.

Anyhow your bat is beautiful! As a lifelong Red Sox die hard fan and collector i'm almost ashamed to admit i have started collecting Yankees bats.I love the rivalry and history between the teams and it just feels right to have a few Yankees bats here in my racks(below the Sox bats of course)...

Re: My new Posada bat!
I doubt its the same guy. The Posada bat has more than an "unnoticable harline crack". The emails are different too.
What was the name of the seller for your bat and his address? You can pm me that info if you dont want to post it here.

Re: My new Posada bat!
Also, I asked for the bat to be shipped in a bat tube which he didnt have. I had to supply him with a list of places that sold tubes in his area. I would imagine that someone named Freedmansports would have some idea where to locate a bat tube.

Re: My new Posada bat!
Just noticed one more thing. He says that the Posada he has is from the same series, not necessarily the same night. Maybe we should try to email him and ask for pics of his Posada bat?

Re: My new Posada bat!
I'm going to do that.Would love to see the Posada bat he has.Very coincidental that both these guys are from Thornhill Ontario and both bats came from the same game.I thought Yankee bats rarely were given away at games.Anyhow i don't have his email. But his name is Eli Freedman and he seems like a nice guy!I'll contact him through ebay. When he sends me pics i'll post them.I'll also post the Damon pics when the bat arrives. All these Yankees bats from Toronto....how do things work up there??

Re: My new Posada bat!
My guy had a different name.
My guess is that the Yankee players see no need to transport broken bats back to the States through Customs so they give them away.
