Dating of Tackle Twill?

Assuming that i know what tackle twill really is, what era was this first used on baseball jersey's?

I know felt cresting/script preceeded tackle twill, but not sure when twill came in to play.

Hi Martin- Not sure when it started, but I believe by 1960 it was "all the rage". Probably (my guess) started c. 1950. I have some unis from 1940s and early 50s but none of them use tackle twill for the lettering.
