1984 jersey tag question

I have a 1984 Mike Schmidt home jersey that I am certain is authentic (It was given to my father by Mike in 1984 along with his game cleats). The funny thing is there is no Set number on the tag. Is it common for there to be no set number?

I've purchased over 1,000 Phillies jerseys directly from the team that included jerseys from 1974-1991. The only season that had the year and was void of the set was found on 1984 jerseys. I've had a handful from 1984 with the exact same tagging as you show. Here is a photo of 2 1984 Phillies, a home rookie Rick Schu and a rookie Francisco Melendez. Note, both void of a set indication and also no sleeve patch (no sign of it ever being on the sleeve). I've asked my Phillies contact about the lack of tagging and patch, however, have never learned why this specific season's jerseys were made like this.
