Re: Putting your face to your name

    Fat? Uh....No.

My wife has restricted me to water-cress and green tea for the first few weeks of 2008. When we married in 1997, I was still playing college ball at 190 pounds. As of Christmas morn, a rotund 260. I can still bring it though, hit 68mph in the Family Pavillion last year. My rotator cuff is still sore.

          That's funny.

Don, I thought for sure you were older. No wonder you are a Lankford fan...you're closer to my age. I'm gonna have to stop by one night with a six pack when it gets cooler. Even funnier, is that I'm at Church right now on Tom Ginnever and I can probably throw a rock into your back yard.

          Small world.

I recently got back from a Dodger Fantasy Camp at Vero Beach, FL. Here is a picture of me on the field at Holman Stadium before the Campers vs. Instructors game. (First time to post a picture, so I hope it loaded okay)

                      Ditto.

Sid Fernandez, Benny Agbayani, and Hawaii 50 are all represented in that number on Ron's jersey!

#50...very clever, as Hawaii's the 50th state. Though it should be noted that neither Benny wore #39 in his first year. Have no idea why, as there were no Mets wearing that # that I'm aware of. El Sid had the same # during all of his 15 MLB seasons, with 5 different clubs.

I used to own Benny's #39 home pinstripe AIS gamer from 1998. I guess as a rookie you take what they give you. BTW, Ron is now the proud owner of that jersey.

Good catch, Jim, David and Nick! I'll have a story to tell El Sid if I ever run into him here on Oahu. BTW, I still have the #39 home jersey, and I later added the #39 road.

                            Kind Regards,
