i have concerns

in keeping with the rules, please know that i have attempted to contact the seller prior to making my comments here.

with that being said, and knowing that EBAY is littered with fakes, forgeries and worthless junk, this particular group is really troubling me.

i normally do not scout EBay for garbage, however, this list (all from the same seller) bothers me for two reasons.

1) there are several bids for items that i feel arent worth the time it took to mat them.

2) to me, there is a uniformity to many of the autos that are obvious when looking at the group as a whole (many are in a similar pen/ hand, similar "cut", appears to be similar pen pressure/ writing style)

if i am way off base here, please, by all means, let me know.

i do not think i am and i ask anyone familiar with autos to please weigh in on this .

i forgot to add that these are not all of the current items from this seller, but a sampling of what i am eluding to.

there are more that share the same characteristics as the ones listed above.

Yes they are matted horribly but they are no worse than anything that Topps, Upper Deck et al have put out lately and the masses flock to buy that crap.

I looked at the player signatures I am familiar with and agree that they appear dubious.

I add that much of the writing appears careful (too careful), whereas a genuine player signature is quick and easy. This may be what you were alluding to when you mentioned continuity in handwriting.

still nothing from the seller this morning.

....but yes David, in my opinion, the heavy inking, starts and stops and writting patterns/ flow all seem the same throughout.

even IF they were legit, i would never bid on items like this.

I won't speak for the rest of the autographs, but the Brooks Robinson one is the real deal.........

The ones he offering that I'm familar with don't look horrible. The Musial looks like it has stop marks. Sometimes autographs are acquired "on the run" while the player is walking and not on a table surface. But these to me don't shout out that they were done by the same person.
