Odd Mark Gastineau Auction Item
Mark Gastineau caused headaches for quarterbacks for ten NFL seasons. What happens when Mark gets tension headaches?
He uses Fioricet.
How do I know this? I saw the newest Vintage Authentics auction-
Lot 206: Mark Gastineau Prescription Bottle
Notice Gastineau's home address (I hope that's not a current address)
Wouldn't you love to know who consigned this? Get your bids in- it opens at $25.
And to the winner- sorry, there are no refills.

Re: Odd Mark Gastineau Auction Item
Can anyone in the medical field verify whether or not this would violate HIPAA? I mean, if Gastineau didn't specifically authorize the sale of this item, to sell something that very clearly says what he has been prescribed, in what dosage, on what day, and especially from what doctor, you'd be looking at a SERIOUS federal crime here!

Re: Odd Mark Gastineau Auction Item
Interesting question, as it's similar to selling medical records-- it also probably was trash. I think it was Lelands that auctioned an empty bottle prescribed to Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), though Cobain was dead at the time.

The next time you pick a prescription, ask your pharmacist. He or she probably knows the relevant laws.
