    Hi-

There is no documented evidence in H & B factory records that Pete Rose was sent any Model U1 bats during his last year as a player, 1986. During the 1986-1989 labeling period, only one order of Model U1 bats Rose signature model, was shipped --- on 1/15/87, 25 Model U1 bats with Rose's engraved signature, 35 inches in length with no specific weight. was sent to "Baseball Miscellaneous," likely as promotional bats. These bats were manufactured well after Rose's last appearance on 8/17/86 in a Major League game.

Pete Rose used Model U1 bats in lengths between 33 and 34.5 inches early in his career, between 5/17/62 and 6/3/64. There is no documentation that any Model U1 bats were either ordered by Rose or shipped to him after that date throuigh the end of his playing career.

    Good Luck in future collecting.

    Mike

Take the bat to Field of Dreams at The Forum Shops in Las Vegas and ask Pete yourself. He is there about 10 days a month signing autographs.

Also, yanks12025, I would recommend you buy a digital camera. You ask a lot of questions, and with photographs you'll find you receive a better response to your inquiries. You can get one now at Best Buy for around $100.00 and they are so easy to use!
